I can’t seem to focus today and this topic has been weighing having on my spirit so I guess it’s time to enlighten. Spiritualism is not a new concept but it isn’t as ancient as the main religions in today’s world. As I child I would see, feel, and hear things that scared me. I didn’t know what or why I was experiencing what I was and I hated it! It wasn’t until a week before the passing of my Grandfather that I learned to accept the “scariness” and learn from it.
Spiritualism is a religion, philosophy, and science that involves the realm of spirit. What does that even mean you may ask? You, and everyone who reads this is a form of spirit. We are pure energy and when the physical body disintegrates the energy of the spirit is transformed into another form of itself. In the astonishing words of Albert Einstein, “Energy can neither be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another“. If we open our minds and think in terms of open-mindedness and spiritual reality, we realize this is true. So if this is true then what…..???
Spirits are always around us, we live in parallel existences to one another. Since we are spiritual beings having a human experience, we all have the innate ability to experience spiritual phenomena, however the mind often will interfere and rationalize things. Have you ever felt like you were being watched but turn around to find no one there, or felt the coldness upon entering a room for no particular reason, or even dreamed about a loved one who has since passed over into spirit? If so, congratulations you have experienced spiritual phenomena, energetically. I feel Spirit often and until I really understood what was going on I suffered from great anxiety because I didn’t understand. After the passing of my Grandfather I decided to find people who were like me, that’s when I found Spiritualism.
I understood the concepts, I understood the phenomena, I finally felt I made it “home”. If I were asked, well do you believe in God, the answer would be, well what is your definition of God? If we are taught that we are the children of God, of Spirit, then we must too be God and of Spirit. Would that satisfy your question?
I now live my life to emulate myself spiritually. I’m not perfect because no human being is but I aim to show instead of tell how spiritually grounded I am. I’m the young hippie always talking about energies, feelings, dreams, and auras to sum up my main topics of conversation. I even take metaphysical courses to broaden my awareness along with study other religions. If you happen to stumble across this blog and have more questions or positive comments please feel free to drop me a line or few. 🙂
I really enjoyed this read! So much of it I can relate to..especially the feeling of “home”. Accepting this knowledge and choosing to grow has brough t me so much peace, comfort and optimism! The signs have always been there..I honored them…I became afraid and shut it out. Now I am welcoming again..
Thank you! Reading this has definitely brightened my mood! Acceptance is the first step into growth!
