How to manifest Love & Attract a relationship with Spirit

I’ll never be happy, no one will ever love me, why do I always feel like I’m being used, these are all things I know I’ve heard myself over and over and over again. It’s difficult to even conceive love if you don’t know what love is to begin with, so let’s start from there. Love is ever supportive, always encouraging, and is unconditional is every way.

Let’s go all the way back to the first moment you felt what love was. Could it have been as inside of the womb when your mother sang to you and upon being born you remembered the vibration of love in the membrane of your soul? Or could it have been when you spent time with your grandparents on holidays because they lived far away from you and you remember the scent of grandma’s cooking every time you walked through the door? There are many opportunities to experience love but the most important love begins with self first. Did that struck a cord from within, good it was meant to. Now that you’re in the feels of the originator of heartbreak time and time again, let’s worked towards understanding why and what Spirit has to do with it.

We accept the love we think we deserve and what that truly means is that we attract what we energetically send out. Think about it for a minute and examine what you allow and who you surround yourself with. Birds of a feather flock together, wow, I’m on a roll with these catchy sayings, I digress, but seriously examine the energy that surrounds you and what type of energy you allow within your energetic field. We all have an energetic field also know as an aura and it surrounds our body in addition the aura also holds onto energy as well which can be more harm than good. The law of attraction doesn’t just focus on energy of the living but also the discarnate to be weary of the energy that you put out there because it’ll come straight to you!

Spirit wants you to be happy and feel loved because you are the love in which you seek. That is my favorite message from Spirit, “you are the love in which you seek” and in order to find it you have to go within. If you get doing the same actions and expect a different result you are wrong! Spirit is always with you whether you are aware of them or not and whether you are aware of it or not, you can ask for their assistance, don’t just ask the Universe, check in with Spirit (Guides, Loved Ones, and Angels). Developing rapport with your Spirit Gang is SOOOOOO important! To pound this concept into your skull I’m gonna share with you my experience with allowing Spirit in to help guide me finding a love that is for my highest best!

I always desired love from a partner. I desired that attention from someone, someone who wanted me as much as I wanted them, but it never worked because I only attracted the wounded who were incapable of loving others. I experienced the desire from love from a dysfunctional relationship I had with my father as a child up into adolescent so I was also a wounded soul who unknowingly was attracting the same lower vibration wishing and not understanding why I couldn’t get anything “better” than what I was getting. It was so hard to look at myself in the mirror and be in awe with its reflection. I was in an abusive relationship and could not understand why… why me? It wasn’t until I started to develop my spiritual abilities that my energy started to vibrate differently, vibrate higher that I was able to connect to a high level of vibration of self-love. After I committed myself to falling in love with myself first I created a list of characteristics that I wanted in a partner. I did this in a letter to the Universe, in which I entitled it. I wrote down about 13 traits then folded it up and placed it in my purse forgetting all about it. Approximately 30 days later my now partner send me a message on a dating app that I was guided to create six months prior. Change happens when change happens. Change your vibration and know that the change you’re looking for will be very evident in your life.

4 Ways Spiritual Development Can Combat Against Anxiety

It wasn’t until I was 26 years old and in graduate school until I learned that I have been struggling with anxiety for the majority of my life. For some reason I thought anxiety was someone hyperventilating in a brown paper bag which was really ignorant for me to believe. I was enrolled in Mental Health Counseling and I was reviewing the different diagnoses that fall within the anxiety spectrum of disorders which I came face to face with my life changing epiphany…. I’m an anxious woman.

What does an anxious woman look like?

Here’s a plot twist… I saw my first discarnate Spirit at the age of 6 meaning that I am a medium. I have the ability to communicate with former living beings. I don’t like the word ghosts, Spirit, to be correct. It’s terrifying to hear unintelligible voices while laying down in bed alone and it’s literally nerve racking every time I saw Spirit because I never knew when another experience would happen. Looking back I now notice the signs of my anxiety related to my observance of the paranormal:

1. Fast heartbeat

Whenever I would feel a message from Spirit coming through or had a “feeling” about something it would bring me high anxiety, so high that all I could do was cry because I didn’t know what happening to me. Not having someone to talk to about your symptoms of anxiety seems to intensifies it.

2. Constantly worried about future events

“What if’s” are the perfect example to illustrate this symptom. The occurrence of “what if’s” a major concern of people who struggle with anxiety. The issue with this is that when we’re focused on the what if’s we’re missing from the present because we’re too busy focused on the future.

3. Never wanting to sleep with the door open

My nightly worries were focused on whether or not I would hear or see something during the night. I would always feel something looking at me from the doorway every time my bedroom door stayed open at night. Even to this day I prefer to sleep with my door shut. Rumination, the act of constantly thinking of something will keep someone up throughout the night.

Let’s get to the 4 ways that spiritual development can help you to combat your anxiety:

1. You a psychic, medium, or both.

If you’re like me then experiencing spiritual phenomena such as hearing voices (nothing confirming you have super human powers or that you are a God, if so I suggest you seek help immediately), seeing things out of the corner of your eyes or literally right in front of you, sensing energy and other people’s emotions, or dreaming about events that come true or being visited by loved ones in Spirit while you sleep. That shit can be pretty nerve-racking if you don’t understand what’s happening and you have no one to talk to about it. It can feel like you are literally going crazy in the cabeza….. you’re not. You just need help understanding your environment and how to gain control of it.

2. You’re an empath.

When I was younger I worked at this shit job which made the situation even worse to endure, anyways, I thought for sure I had developed a bladder infection. I was urinating frequently which is a tell tale symptom of a bladder infection so I went to the doctor to get checked out and to get antibiotics. I was confused when all of my tests came back negative, I didn’t have a bladder infection. I couldn’t understand it because I definitely had the symptoms. Having to pee every 10 minutes is not normal, right…? So not long after my appointment I went to the bathroom and one of my co-worker joined me at the sink. She told me that she had a bladder infection that turned into a kidney infection and she was telling me how much pain she was in. Immediately after hearing this all of my symptoms stopped. Just like that, abracadabra I was healed. This is a classic example of being an empath and taking in energy from others. Ever wonder why you always get anxious when you get around a certain individual or you feel the tension of a room where an argument just took place, well it’s because you have the ability of clairsentience, the ability to clearly feel energy.

3. Learning how to meditate and ground.

Often times when we feel anxiety it’s because one, you’re not in the present and are too focused on the future and second, you’re unbalanced. I am guilty of this as well, which is why I’m writing about anxiety and spirituality, this can be conquered! I digress…. two weeks ago I was suffering from symptoms of Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) and my anxiety was on 100 for over a week. I spoke to a friend of mine at work and she asked if I wanted to go on a walk outside. We found a sunny patch of grass where she suggested that we take our socks and shoes off and plant our feet on the ground. Yo, no lie, immediately as my feet touched the ground I felt all of my anxiety draw away from me. I felt my energy straightening out and I became calm. All I needed to do was reconnect with nature, whaddya know.

4. Use protection stones.

Crystals are elements of the Earth that assist in energy healing and balancing. I know a lot of folks who prefer to carry stones in their pockets or around the necks to help protect and balance their energy, so what could it not work for anxiety too, it can! Crystals are not my specific forte so I found a great article here that you can read to familiarize yourself with crystals that directly treat anxiety. I personally like to carry Black Tourmaline to help me ease the anxs.

Well there you go, I reviewed a few symptoms of anxiety along with 4 ways to use spiritual development to help you exacerbate it.

Acceptance could be such a kick in the ass sometimes….

Acceptance my friends can be the hardest thing to achieve.

I mean look at it this way, things we can’t control, how easy it that to accept? Horrible things that happen to us and the world around us and we’re just suppose to accept it? Yep, it’s the first step to growing and moving forward with your life.

I’m not gonna lie, acceptance for me is challenging especially when I’m struggling with something specifically. Right now it’s difficult for me to accept the fact that I agreed to move and now live in an area where it snows, temperatures drop below freezing, and sometimes the power goes out. Acclimating to this environment is HARD some moments throughout the day are easier than others just like my experience today. This morning my truck completely stopped running while I was on the freeway. Normally this would have skyrocketed my anxiety but I came to accept the situation immediately and stayed calm. I was astonished by this odd behavior that but I rode with it. I waited for an hour for a tow truck to pick me up after being told it would only be 30 minutes before a truck would come and save me. I didn’t even get irritated when I called for an ETA, AMAZING. CHP (California Highway Patrol) and Caltrans (state agency for transportation) both stopped by to check on how I was doing, what was wrong, and if i needed help. I forgot that my license has expired and I’m waiting for a new one in the mail to arrive…. oops. After I told the officer that I am a counselor and that I was heading down to juvenile hall to meet with the kids there, he forgot about asking me for important stuff like my license, registration, and proof of insurance, but hey I wasn’t there to remind him either.

In that particular moment I was living presently in acceptance and that was definitely a noticeable point of growth.

When we learn to accept and let go of control that’s when we are able to be present in Universal Consciousness.

Acceptance is one in the same with forgiveness, in the same token that we forgive others not for them but for our own healing to take place. Acceptance doesn’t take away from our pain but it does move us into the direction of transformation and healing.

Am I Schizophrenic or am I Clairaudient?

A couple of weeks ago a woman reached out to me. She remembered me from a spiritual forum community that I once was a part of years ago and wanted to talk to me about the experiences that she was enduring. I was happy to talk to her and anyone else who wants to talk to me about their spiritual phenomena because let’s face it, this shit can be terrifying if you don’t understand what is going on. She went on to tell me that she was afraid that she might actually be schizophrenic. I informed her that I am a psychotherapist with a Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling. I have the scope to determine whether or not she was experience psychosis or psychic phenomena. She shared with me that she had heard a voice tell her that a named individual was getting ready to walk around the corner towards her and seconds later this exact individual came walking around the corner, among other experiences.

Symptoms of schizophrenia include and are not limited to hearing voices both internally and externally. These voices torment the afflicted and only has negative and irrational things to say. Nothing positive or prophetic is given through schizophrenia. This is not what this woman was experiencing.

If you experience any of these following traits you are most likely experiencing clairaudience:

You hear your name being called when you’re the only person in the room.
You have heard talking, faintly, but aren’t able to fully hear what is being said where you are alone.
You hear sounds throughout your home.
You hear buzzing or ringing sounds in your ears for no reason and you don’t have any medical issues such as tinnitus or a current ear infection.
You hear voices in your mind that are encouraging, rational, or are given information that comes true.
You hear voices audibly that are encouraging, rational, or are given information that comes true.
You are known for giving advice to others and when you’re done it’s like you’ve channeled the message
You often find that you talk to yourself, out loud, don’t worry it’s not that weird. You’re unconsciously talking to your Spirit Guides, angels, and/or loved ones.

Why I Still Get Psychic Readings…Sometimes

I don’t often get psychic readings but when I do I need to go to someone who I truly trust. Someone I know won’t bullshit me, perhaps someone I”ll be able to work with in the future, a true partnership. Anyways, this “sometimes” event happened this week after I had another dream about someone I experienced love with from my past. This hasn’t been the first dream that I’ve had about this specific person and I was finally ready for soul answers.

Seven years ago I met a young man who changed my life for the best and hurt me the deepest. I experienced intimacy at the age of 23 and endured a devastating heartbreak the following year, both by the same soul. During my time spent with this man he told me that he could never be the man I needed which I never understand. In the end he told me by via Facebook messenger that he had a girlfriend and could no longer talk to me. It was the most hurtful thing anyone you loved could do to you or so it felt like. It was the deepest wound I had ever been afflicted with. After that I never spoke to him or saw him again and now years later I’m still dreaming about him so what the hell is going on, especially since I’m in an amazing and healthy relationship.

In my latest dream he was present although he looked different I knew it was him. We were in a neighborhood where we spent time together. One day I was being assaulted with a man who brandished a gun and I cried out for Him by name. He saw me, made eye contact, and then looked away which was devastating. The next day I reached out to my dear psychic friend to help me discern my dreams. It’s going on 7 years since I met him and 6 years that I haven’t had any involvement with him, I needed soul answers.

My friend and I connected and the following is what he shared with me. First, I’m dreaming about him because it was a time in my life where I first came into my feminine power! Whenever I subconsciously forget my power he’ll come in and remind me; although on the other hand, in my dream when he chose not to help me in my conflict it is because in reality he had difficulty feeling equal to me. My friend asked me if that made sense and it did completely. This young man would always tell me that I was settling for him, I was truly a beautiful person, and that he could never give me the love that I deserved. I never understood what he meant by that, until my friend informed me that the young man that I loved felt inferior to me and with the previous statements he was telling me how he did not feel equal to me. He loved me but his ego would never allow him to be in a strong lasting relationship with me. Which would explain A LOT. Next he explained where my chiron (astrological chart concept) was in my chart. Before I state where it is I want to provide an overview of what a chiron is to my understanding. It is a past-life wound that carries karma which needs to be healed in this lifetime. My chiron was in the house of Cancer, and this young man was born in the astrological sign of Cancer. When he decided to break our relationship via Facebook Messenger one day in April 6 years ago it broke me in a way that I have never been hurt. It traumatized me actually. It was during this time that I began my own spiritual journey. I’ve ruminated with possible reasons as to why he would hurt me so deeply and now I know.

Sometimes I need to go outside of myself for help. Sometimes I need to ask someone else if for anything other than for validation and that’s okay. Psychic and mediums are spiritual advisors and communicators that are able to use tools and their spiritual gifts to bring forth information that we need. Even in the clinical world of counseling, therapists consult with one another and other professionals if need be for help with their clients. I’m not afraid to reach out for help in any area of my existence and you should not either.

3 Reasons You Should Indulge in a Backpacking Trip

A few months ago my partner informed me that he wanted to go backpacking on a 30 mile trip in the Santa Cruz area for his birthday this year. Initially I thought he was kidding but he was dead ass serious. We are both unfit individuals so this almost seemed impossible, but we all know that NOTHING is truly impossible. I digress, so he chose to start at the Castle Rock National Park and travel through the Big Basin Redwood National Park which totals to a 30 mile hiking trip, in the wilderness which included bears in the first part of our trip. We spent collectively about a 1k on supplies, mostly because he was EXTRA and got pricey items but honestly, the most expensive items will be your backpack, sleeping bag (down preferred), and tent. All these items will be $100+ depending on the brand name. We got the majority of our items at REI and Amazon, you can get anything and everything on Amazon, FACTS. Break away from technology:

Out in nature you don’t receive signals for your phone, it’s just you and Mother Gaia. There’s a connection you feel when you commit yourself to the land, it’s unmistakable. If you weren’t aware of this trees actually communicate with one another. As we were walking we heard creaking that sounded as if it were going back and forth throughout the forest as we walked and I couldn’t help but think that I’m a part of this moment, this experience. Spend some time away from your laptop, phone, social media, and connect to the land.

2. Being in nature is healing

Before I started my trip I was already sick with another sinus infection; however, once I started hiking all of my symptoms disappeared. No coughing, a bit of a runny nose, and no headache of pressure in my face, but I felt it as soon as I laid down and went to sleep. Below is the photo of our tent that we had just pitched up before the photo was taken. Just laying walking through and listening to their animals in your surrounding area and even the trees. Trees have their own language among one another and we became in tuned with it as we listened to their creaking and windy voices. If you listen carefully you too can hear the voices of the land.

3. Growth Doesn’t Come from Complacency

On the way to Castle Rock I prayed and asked my Grandmother’s Spirit to show up on the trail in the guise of a white feather to let me know she too was embarking on this journey with me. I know you’re thinking that I asked for something that is COMMON in the forest but it was a sign that came to me to be a sign of her Spirit, if that makes sense.

Each difficult step that I took it wasn’t long before I saw a white feather directly in front of my feet after my a strenuous incline. Without a doubt I knew my Grandmother was with me giving me the strength to push forward, literally. The first two days we hiked 9 miles, well a little bit over 10 for the first day because we temporarily got lost because of confusing directions on the trailhead, but the it took us 6 hours to do 9 miles but on the last day we had to walk through 12 miles starting with high inclines and miraculously made it to the beach in 6 hours exactly! It was an extremely rewarding experience even though we weren’t in the best of shape we accomplished our goals! The ending note of this entire post is that if you want change to happen you can’t sit around and wait for it, you gotta make moves towards it! So here’s to adventure, growth, and healing in nature!

Why I’m Moving Away from Using Oracle Cards

First let me say this, using tools of any kind to assist in spirit communication or to receive information is not to be seen as a crutch. Tools such as tarot and oracle cards, runes, pendulums, and crystals are GREAT for developing rapport with your guides when you begin to work with Spirit; however, just recently I’m not feeling as connected with my oracle cards as I once was during my readings. I love the deck by Rebecca Campbell, Work Your Light Oracle Cards, which is shown in the featured image, but once I place my cards aside during a reading, I’m able to receive more information than I had by just using the cards and that’s exciting! The more you practice the more you grow! This is still my favorite oracle deck and I’ll bring it along for readings just in case a client requests for visuals because that happens sometimes. I remember when I was so nervous to use cards and now I’m moving away from them. Growth never ends.
